U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded net inflows of $526.7 million on October 19, 2026. BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) accounted for the entire amount with a $665.2 million net purchase, its largest single-day inflow since October 2025.

Single-Day Inflows Reach Highest Level Since September

The October 19 total marked the strongest daily performance for the group since September 22, when inflows reached $714.7 million. Prior to this rebound, the product category had posted net outflows in five of the previous six sessions, including $228.5 million the week before. Month-to-date flows through October 19 remained negative at roughly $88 million.

Trading volume across all spot Bitcoin ETFs totaled approximately $2.09 billion on the day. Aggregate assets under management stood at $105.46 billion, equal to about 6.4 percent of Bitcoin’s market capitalization. Cumulative net inflows since the January 2024 launch reached $57.4 billion.

Bitcoin traded in a narrow range near $81,000 to $83,000 during the period, closing around $81,941 according to exchange data. The price action occurred against mixed macroeconomic signals, including softer oil prices and stronger-than-expected China GDP figures released the same week.

BlackRock IBIT Dominates While Other Funds Record Outflows

IBIT remains the largest product by assets, with approximately $66.37 billion under management. On October 19 it was the only Bitcoin ETF to post positive net flows. Fidelity’s FBTC saw $83.6 million in net outflows, while Grayscale’s GBTC recorded $54.9 million in redemptions. All remaining spot Bitcoin ETFs reported zero net flows.

Analysts at Presto Research noted that the concentrated inflows may reflect institutional positioning ahead of a potential catch-up trade in Bitcoin. The data indicate resilient demand for the leading product even as broader weekly flows stayed negative.

U.S. spot Ether ETFs moved in the opposite direction, posting $103.3 million in net outflows on the same day. BlackRock’s ETHA accounted for the majority with $95.4 million in redemptions, marking the fourth consecutive session of outflows for the Ether category.

The October 19 inflows coincided with a separate filing by BlackRock for a new defined-outcome Bitcoin ETF. The proposed iShares Bitcoin Managed Protection ETF would use options on IBIT to target approximately 10 percent downside protection with a corresponding cap on upside participation. The product would not hold Bitcoin directly.

Market participants will watch whether inflows broaden beyond IBIT in coming sessions and whether the recent outflow streak in Ether ETFs continues. Regulators have not yet provided a timeline for the new buffer ETF filing.

Spot Bitcoin ETF assets have grown steadily since launch, yet daily flows remain sensitive to macro conditions and sentiment around the underlying asset. The October 19 data underscore the continued concentration of institutional interest in the largest single vehicle.
